Arrow of Light Award

The Arrow of Light Award is Cub Scouting’s highest award.  It indicates to everyone that a Cub Scout is prepared to become a Boy Scout.  Look closely at the badge, and you will see the Indian sign for the sun over an arrow; thus its name, the Arrow of Light Award.  Notice the seven rays of the sun, one for each day of the week.  They serve as a reminder for the boys to do their best every day as they follow the arrow that leads to Boy Scouting.

To earn the Arrow of Light Award, Webelos Scouts must earn the Webelos badge and a minimum of eight Webelos Activity Badges.  In addition, they must visit with Boy Scout Troops, and learn the basics of Boy Scouting:  Uniform, Oath, Law, Motto, Slogan, Sign, Salute, and Handshake.
