Titanic (Alt Version)Titanic as sung by the boys of Camp Read
Submitted by S. Sudak
Oh they built the ship Titanic, and when they had it done well they thought they had a ship that the waters could not run But the Lord's almighty hand said the ship would never stand It was sad when the great ship went down.
Chorus: It was sad (so sad!) It was sad (so sad!) It was sad when the great ship went down to the bottom of the Husbands and wives little children lost their lives It was sad when the gret ship went down
Well they were not far from England, they were not far from shore When the rich refused to associate with the poor So they put them down below where they were the first to go It was sad when the great ship went down
Chorus
Well they lowered down the lifeboats into the raging sea and the band struck up with "Nearer My God to Thee" Little children wept and cried as the waves crashed o'er the side It was sad when the great ship went down
Chorus
Well they built another ship and they called it Mary Lou and the bow was painted pink and the stern was painted blue and they christened it with beer and it sank right off the pier It was GREAT when the SAD ship went down
It was great! (so great!) It was great! (so great!) It was great when the sad ship went down To the bottom of the Uncles and Aunts little children lost their pants It was great when the sad ship went down. |

Making a purple stew, whip, whip Whip Whip Whip (pretend to stir a huge bowl, circular motion with arms) Making a purple stoobie-doobie-oobie-doobie Purple potatoes, and purple tomatoes and (pretend to throw things in from over your shoulder) You in my purple stew. (person in middle points to someone) Fancy meeting you in my purple stew. (the two shake hands) Everyone stands in a circle while one person stands in the middle. While you are singing the song perform the actions. When you say "You in my purple stew" the person in the middle points to someone and that person joins the middle. On "Fancy meeting you..." the person who was just pulled into the circle shakes hands with the person who brought him there. Praise Be To GodPraise Be To God
Praise be to God the Father Almighty, Praise be to God who gives us our bread. Praise be to God the Spirit Eternal Praise be to God forever.

You're a Grand Old FlagYou're a Grand Old Flag by George M. Cohan
You're a grand old flag, You're a high flying flag And forever in peace may you wave. You're the emblem of The land I love. The home of the free and the brave. Ev'ry heart beats true 'neath the Red, White and Blue, Where there's never a boast or brag. Should auld acquaintance be forgot, Keep your eye on the grand old flag.

Trail the EagleTrail the Eagle
Tune: "On Wisconsin"
Trail the Eagle, Trail the Eagle, Climbing all the time. First to Star and then to Life, Will on your bosom shine.
KEEP CLIMBING! Blaze the trail and we will follow, Hark the Eagles' call; On, brothers, on Until we're Eagles all. |
